“A hui hou” is the Hawaiian phrase for “until we meet again.” A year ago I was enjoying the holidays on a beach in Hawaii. We spent Christmas on Maui and New Year’s on Oahu at Waikiki Beach. It was weird being away from the cold and from our larger family, but it was a great adventure. I can’t help but reflect on it a year later as I approach a new adventure, this time abroad.
